NETWORK ANALYST-JOURNEY Vacancy #: 002596 Salary Range: $43,600-$80,511 Closing Date: 12-5-2017 Organizational Unit Overview: The Office of Environmental Health and Safety is responsible for development and administration of ECU’s comprehensive Environmental Health and Safety program for the entire University. It is the goal of the Environmental Health and Safety Office to provide a campus work environment free from occupational and environmental hazards and to promote safe work practices through training and staff development for our faculty, staff, students, patients and visitors. Activities are geared primarily towards prevention and control of occupational hazards, environmental man- agement and emergency management through safety education and voluntary compliance rather than enforcement activities. Job Duties: This position will support police and security-based systems to include network-based security cameras, computer-aided dispatch, communications systems, network based security cameras, network attached video servers, IP addressable alarm/panic systems, and body and in-car camera systems as well as all associated subsys- tems. Audits and advises departments concerning actions necessary to prevent or abate health, safety, environmental and emergency pre- paredness deficiencies and maintain compliance with applicable local, state and federal occupational health and safety regulations. Minimum Qualifcations: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of networking related experience such as network design, analysis or network management; or Associate’s degree in Electronics or Networking Technology and one year of networking related experi- ence: or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: Graduation from a four-year college or university, preferably with a degree in com- puter science, computer engineering, or a related field and two years of experience or a two-year degree in Networking and two years of experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
