Kellie Suzanne Cannon and Richard Steven Joyner, Jr. were united in marriage on October 22, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at Rock Springs Center, Greenville, NC. Pastor Lenny Waters officiated the double-ring ceremony. The bride was escorted by her stepfather, Gary Bruce Heath.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Susan Heath of Greenville and Mike Cannon of Falkland. She is the granddaughter of Doris Harris and the late Richard Spencer Harris of Falkland and the late J.C. and Verlin Cannon of Portertown.
The groom is the son of Alicia Joyner and the late Steve Joyner of Bellarthur. He is the grandson of the late Mervis and Betty Joyner and Fred and Melissa Edwards of Bellarthur.
Maid of honor was Brianna Nicole Wainwright, daughter of bride. Matron of honor was Jessica Oakley Gibson, friend of bride. Bridesmaids were Ellen Alford, Tabitha Albritton, sister of groom, Lizzie Joyner, sister of groom, and Sara Bland, sister of groom. Flower girl was Melissa Bland, niece of the groom.
Best man was Daniel Moore, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Spencer Albritton, Tim Joyner, Timmy Moore, Peyton House, and Keith Joyner. Ring bearer was Ryan Albritton, nephew of the groom.
Program attendants were Savannah Bland and Abigail Alford. Ushers were Donald and Jeffrey Crawford.
A reception was held at South Ballroom, Rock Springs Center. Music was provided by BTA Entertainment. The rehearsal “I Do BBQ” was hosted by Ginger Little, cousin of the bride, and Jean Crawford, Glenda Harris, and Delores Harris, aunts of the bride.
A bridal shower was hosted by Ginger Little, cousin of the bride. A bridesmaid brunch was hosted by Jean Crawford, aunt of the bride, at Rock Springs Center.
The bride is a graduate of Farmville Central High School and attended Pitt Community College. She is a Medical Transcriptionist at Physician’s East, Greenville, NC.
The groom is a graduate of Farmville Central High School and is employed at Pitt Community College.
After a honeymoon to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple have made their home in Greenville, NC.
