Dec. 16 Bless Your Heart

This BYH goes out to the families whose loved ones will not be home for Christmas. They won't be home because they are occupied in the business of keeping America safe. Thank you for your sacrifices to enable them to do this. God bless you and yours and God bless America!
BYH Alabama! Thanks for reminding the rest of us that there are things more important than politics. Makes you wonder what the other 48 percent of your state was thinking?
BYH to the drivers who blew past the school bus on Charles Boulevard this morning. I'm sorry that you missed the big, yellow bus with the flashing lights and stop sign only to get stuck at the red light on Red Banks. Slow down and stop!
BYH, let's get the money element out of politics, and many of our political problems would disappear overnight. But to do that would take overturning Citizens United.
BYH to those who prepared chili for the chili cook off. All of the entries I ate were delicious, but it would have been nice to have some hot sauce available so I could have made mine “deliciously hot.”
BYH to the BYH editors. It seems that everyday this column includes negative of derogatory commentary regarding President Trump. While I personally don't care for the guy, he has, in my opinion, done an excellent job thus far in spite of unprecedented opposition from the major media and Congressional Democrats. ... In short, enough is enough and give the guy a break!
Bless you heart Winterville community. If you have a broken cellphone screen please visit the police department. They will gladly fix it for you while on duty. Great job, Winterville PD for patrolling and fixing my phone.
BYH to all these greedy women coming out of the woodwork making unproven accusations against someone who sexually harassed them 40 years ago. I’m trying very hard to think of someone who is wealthy that I can accuse of harassment years ago since these days nothing has to be proven so much for innocent until proven guilty.
BYH to the Pirate Radio clowns. Your hating on ECU athletics makes you look clueless. I thought your 14-year old humor was bad enough. But you have taken it to a new low.
BYH to Willie Shakespeare, who once wrote of "a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." Were he alive today, he would have substituted "tweeted" for "told."
Bless your heart to the person in front of me in the drive-thru who paid for my coffee and donut at Dunkin’ Donuts on Monday night. Your kind gesture reminds us what Christmas is really about. Thank you and Merry Christmas to you, also!
BYH, just remember the words of that great Canadian philosopher (the rock band Rush): “Changes aren't permanent, but change is.”
