A big BYH to the City of Greenville. Where is your handicap parking for the police department? But then again, where is the public parking for the police department, anyway?
BYH for the great picture on the last day of fall of the little boy named Jacob playing in the leaves. It was very heartwarming.
BYH to The DR for not using my submissions about ECU fraternities participation in our recent elections and large PAC fund contributions to certain candidates. And so, BYH to the bike rider who ran a red light camera on his way through the the Brook Valley shortcut. Before he left, his barking dog pooped in my neighbor’s yard next to his “Jimmy Carter for President” sign.
Curses and jeers and darts to this president for his policies of selling off hundreds of thousands of acres of pristine national monument and national park lands to open them to drilling and resource exploitation, truly repulsive. Teddy Roosevelt said of those types of lands, “Leave it as it is. You cannot improve on it. The ages have been at work on it, and man can only mar it.”
Bless the Hearts of the Pitt-Greenville Airport Authority Board. What good does a beautiful airport do for the community if it can't keep the runway lights working so flights can land and take off at night? Also, flights were canceled this week because the mechanic on call didn't answer the call. What is the real cancellation percentage of flights coming into and going out of Greenville? No wonder so many people would rather drive to New Bern and Raleigh.
Thank you so much, Daily Reflector, for putting on the front page, “Merry Christmas.” That’s the first thing I saw when I took my paper out of my box today. May God bless you all richly.
A big “thank you” for the lady at Ruby Tuesday’s for paying for our glasses of tea when we received a family emergency call.
Bless our hearts, family. We had a special get-together for our matriarch. It was truly nice, including children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and in-laws. This was the first time we’ve done this. Here’s a special “thank you” to the sister who put this together. Great job!
Bless the Hearts of the parents who overprotect their children by writing college application essays for them. Will you do their homework for your legally of age snowflake, too? When will you allow them to learn to be adults and accept responsibility for their own successes or failures?
BYH, try this experiment. I've been doing it for over 20 years and the results are astounding. If you are praying for something selfless, or need something to happen that is unlikely, pray aloud for it. It's uncanny. It must be the leap of faith that facilitates it. Try it. Just remember that God answers all prayers, just sometimes the answer is “no.”
