A big thank you to Sandy at Farmville's Rise and Grind coffee shop for being open and supportive of everyone during this storm. You were the only shop that cared enough to clear your sidewalk off so that everyone could come in for a hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate. You made a loyal customer out of me and my family.
BYH to the plower of the Piggly Wiggly parking lot who plowed all of the snow and dumped it in large heaps on the town's sidewalks. You just made the store completely inaccessible and more dangerous for anyone walking there or by there in Farmville. Because of your poor plowing performance, my children now have to walk in the street if they don't get run over by cars.
BYH to the non-team-playing mother at Minges Coliseum sledding hill who would not allow our kids to sled in her family’s lane. You groused at our family and others when we arrived, saying you and your kids had been at Minges all morning grooming your own sledding lane. I sure hope you enjoyed your own private lane. Maybe next time you can set up your own ski jumps and maybe even a slalom course. The last time I checked this was a free country.
All right everyone, let's line up the SUV's and drive around the block over and over until we warm this planet up!
I recently saw the article about renovation completion at Chicod School. So, when will renovations begin at A.G. Cox Middle and W.H. Robinson Elementary? Both schools are in need of repairs and updating. Walkways need to be enclosed so that students walking from one building to another in rainy, windy conditions do not get wet. Classrooms in other schools have cubbies, not hooks, for students’ coats and books. Updates at these schools should be taken care of immediately.
If Trump's next three years are like the first year, I have a project to complete. I would like to install a vault similar to the one that Scrooge McDuck had. I will dive in and swim through copious curls of cash. I love the smell of fresh treasury ink.
I recently read where someone had said, "For those lucky enough to own stock...." Luck has nothing to do with it. How much effort does it take to pick up the phone and call your broker? Make the effort.
BYH, we need to drain the swamp that collected in the White House last year.
If the DR article about the airport is correct, there is no reason "every square inch" of the runway needs to be completely cleared. Overly expensive and restricted government regulations at their worse
At the risk of seeming insensitive, I thought it had been well established that one does not bring a knife to a gunfight.
BYH, this is the beginning of anything you want.
