BYH, NC State "education" lottery. Despite your claims that over 3 billion dollars have been contributed to schools in our state, we remain the fourth-lowest in teacher pay in the nation. Wake up people! If we don't make teaching a viable occupation there will soon be no public education in North Carolina. And how many Fortune 500 companies will be attracted to that?
The Democrats controlled the N.C. General Assembly for 100 years and gerrymandering was never a problem. But when the GOP gained control and does the same thing, all of a sudden it is offensive. Is this about “Do as I say and not as I do?”
BYH to my Republican comrades, who seem to be putting party over country, and protecting their dishonest president over the rule of law. They seem less concerned with Russia's attack on our elections than with maintaining power. We need to vote out every one of them.
ECU needs a chancellor who cares about the faculty, students and alumni. Let's update the Dail House for the chancellor! Students in the Construction Management program could learn historic restoration by restoring the four historic properties around the Dail House. The houses could then be sold to ECU faculty members and the chancellor would have good neighbors.
Bless your heart, Donald Trump. Grow up! I am a lifelong Republican and conservative, but I think your behavior is embarrassing. Making fun of a congressman's height in a recent tweet is 14-year-old behavior, not presidential. I agree with most of your politics, but I am beginning to dislike you as a person. Next election I may have to sit out rather than vote for you or, worse yet, vote for a Democrat.
Why don't those who want open borders use those open borders to walk away?
BYH: The most terrifying words in the English language are “I'm from the government and I'm here to help.” OMG
Citizens need to watch the City Council meeting on Thursday evening. Let's see how the council members who were supported by Greenville Jobs Now vote for the zoning requests. Will they vote for the best interests of the people or will they vote for the best interests of the developer?
Congrats to Farmville for becoming the first small town in the entire country to adopt a dock-free bike share program, LimeBikes. I look forward to using these shared bikes around town. Very progressive town and the only one east of N.C. State to have this program. Well done to the mayor and leaders of Farmville for doing this!
County commissioners, why be upset with a state law about low bids. You should be upset on why a Pitt County business cannot be as competitive. Are taxes higher here, are business “fees” higher here, are utilities higher here?
