BYH to the police and highway patrol administration. If you were to look at the accident reports every single month, the leading cause of wrecks is speed related, yet I never see a patrol car or police car anymore. An unmarked car on the main raceways in Greenville would yield a fortune. I never go out as the race wannabees are out there zooming at least 10 mph over the speed limit in NASCAR weaves. Help!
The administration has ripped a blind six-year-old from the arms of the mother. They were crossing the border to seek asylum. Now, what is going to happen to that child? The child is blind. No BYH. This heartless and cruel and I don’t even have the words to say how bad it is.
BYH, Trump actually tried to say that Democrats are responsible for the policy of separating illegal immigrant parents from their children. Look up the word “gaslighting” in the dictionary, it will say “See: Trump and his Republicans.”
BYH to the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina for closing on Sundays and reducing your hours to 9-12 on Saturdays. When are working folks and families going to get there to adopt? I'm afraid adoptions will fall and animals will suffer.
BYH Mayor P.J. Connelly for having the foresight to clean up our main highway entrance ways into our city for the regional baseball tournament this weekend. I drove in today and the roads are as clean as I have seen them in a long time. Thank you for making our city look good and you did not even have to do a study to get this done.
BYH and “bye bye” to Walmart. You have three live check-out lanes now and 40 "scan yourself." Senior citizens and others with $200 worth of merchandise either have to endure scan-yourself or wait in line for 20 minutes. Bag yourself is fun too! Guess you are trying to get rid of those with jobs at your store. The few dollars I save is just not worth it, plus an easy way for you to cut jobs. No more!
Bless your heart, mayor and City Council. I support efforts to encourage drivers to stop for red lights. I also feel the camera system can be effective. However, the one at 14th Street and Charles is a trap. I have been the lead car on many occasions. The light changes from green to yellow after four seconds in the mornings, allowing only one car to pass.
BYH to this column, where anyone can anonymously gripe and point the finger at others in our community. I have also contributed a few times and read them daily. But if we’re really honest with ourselves, we’ll admit it is an unhealthy addiction that only divides our community. It’s time for Greenville to grow up. DR, do us all a favor and stop the BYH column. And for the rest of us, remember when you point the finger, there are three aimed right back at you.
