Aug. 12 Bless Your Heart

Sunday, August 12, 2018

Bless your heart to the lady in front of me at Chick-fil-A who paid for my lunch on a Saturday near the end of July. I will pay it forward.

Come on, we all know the Russians didn't interfere with our elections in 2016 because President Obama told Putin to "Knock it off."

Everyone is so upset about foreign countries interfering in our elections, just like we interfere in other countries elections. How dare them, Bless their hearts.

Pitt County, why not create an online way to report illegal dumping? Leaving a voicemail is completely outdated. Online reports can be used with tracking numbers to effectively follow up with.

Bless my heart and its high expectations. When I click on ECU's homepage, there's a photo of the Tuscan countryside and when I click email, there's a photo of a group of students from 1990.

No bless your heart to the deeply cringeworthy UNC Board of Governors. I do not ever recall a board as politicized or petty, inflicting long-term damage to the UNC system. So sad.

BYH ECU for claiming to be certified bicycle friendly by the League of American Bicyclists. You are listed as such, but on a recent bike tour through and around campus with my applying son, we were dismayed at how little of your campus and city were actually safe or friendly to ride. If your campus and city leaders really wish to promote cycling as a healthy means of transportation, they should go visit a real bicycle-friendly campus and see what needs to be done here.

When is the city going to start paving the roads in Brentwood subdivision? I have lived here for 25 years and they have not ever been resurfaced.

BYH to all of those dollar bills stamped with “Where's George?” that are going around Farmville. It is pretty cool to enter, look up and see all the different places that paper money goes to. It has encouraged me to spend more of them at local shops. Neat idea, Farmville!

BYH. Spent $30,000 on what the fireman knew — that nothing was going to be done.

BYH to the inexperience and incompetence of this new mayor. Watching the recent troubling council meeting, it is clear you don’t have what it takes to conduct the business of this city in an orderly and fair way.

I tuned in to the City Council meeting Thursday much to my sorrow. One member went on and on toward the end, took up so much time to say nothing. Seriously, I have no clue what she was trying to say. This is a waste of our city 's time when one bandstands and talks in circles. No bless your heart. Hope potential business people were not watching. They would say bless Greenville's heart.

BYH, if we tell people that the brain is an app, maybe they will start using it.
