Sept. 6 Bless Your Heart
Thursday, September 6, 2018
Bless your heart to the guy who stopped in traffic to save a baby turtle on 10th Avenue Saturday morning around 9:30-ish.
BYH to Pitt County Schools for still lacking the mental health professionals our students need to be safe in their learning process. Please hire the school psychologists, social workers and counselors our students and staff need.
Bless your heart to upper management and their overpaid salaries. Only in government can you blow $30,000 to figure out the problem and sweep it under the rug. City manager, you better make a change or you'll lose the rest of us in the department.
I will be terribly upset if the city has not completed the new life-sized chess board before the Parmalee concert. Those Carolina fans will feel at home playing a rousing game of chess while us Pirates drink until we get sick! #saynotochess
Judge Blount, what are you doing? Do you really want to do this? Sure hope you don't have a family emergency and miss your call.
Bless the hearts of the local insurance agents trying to get those of us over or nearing 60 to attend their "informational" seminars. Dinner at 4 p.m.? Seriously? At that hour, I've barely finished lunch, and I'm at the office for at least a couple more hours. And have your event at a more attractive venue than a cafeteria!
BYH to the childish people who are disrupting the Kavanaugh hearing. A hearing is the process of "hearing" the testimony. To interrupt and shout down is the Fascist way, the "Brown Shirt” way. Someone is showing their true colors.
Bless my heart, I just want to go to Chick-fil-A for the waffle fries, to Hobby Lobby for 75 percent off frames, to my local bakery because their cakes are delicious and wear my Nike because that's what happened to be on sale in my size.
BMH: if N.C. congressional districts are still illegal, how can an election for these districts be legal or legitimate? If there ever was a case for postponing a congressional election, this is it.
BYH to my patience, blood-pressure, and any city planner who can fix the 6:45 a.m. stoplights at every northbound Arlington Boulevard intersection. Every light seems to favor east-west traffic that is very light, while hospital and other northbound commuters back up in mass at each light every morning. It makes no sense and creates a frustrating commute. This needs to be addressed!
The best alternative to a police review board is leading a morally upright life. Follow the path of the righteous and the only time you will come in contact with the police is when you are telling them how proud you are of the job they perform for our community. Can I get an "Amen?"
