BYH to the ECU Board of Trustees for voting to raise student fees to pay for a stadium they can't fill. Next thing we know, Greenville City Council will steal that idea and demand that we all pay for bike lanes and sidewalks for their Brook Valley cut through with their bike-stamped two dollar bills that are always floating about downtown.
Thank you to the Greenville Police Department for driving through our neighborhood with your blue lights on. It was very comforting to see your presence with all the children walking back and forth to collect candy.
BYH to Vidant Medical Center. I was sent to the emergency room by my doctor with a note that I was to be admitted. It took five and a half hours to be seen by a doctor and another five hours to be admitted. When asked about the wait, an employee said not to complain — yesterday it was seven hours. After sitting in the cold waiting room, someone came through handing out blankets, and mine was full of holes. Next time, I'll drive to the Triangle!
BYH. Be patient. In time, even an egg will walk.
BYH — Remember everything happens for a reason. Sometimes the reason is that you're stupid and you make bad decisions.
Our roads are full of litter — do we even have litter laws? If we do, they are not enforced. Stop throwing your trash out of your cars and trucks onto the side of the road. You are embarrassing the rest of us! We all look like pathetic slobs.
BYH to the mayor and city manager for ignoring the Greenville Fire Rescue survey that was done and found fault with the management and nothing has been done. We are still losing firefighters and no one in the city council cares. Shame on you. You expect these people to be there for you, but you do nothing for them.
BYH to the ancient Chinese saying, "The one who snores always falls asleep first."
Bless his heart, Trump has made this election all about him, so if you enjoy the things he does and says and the direction he is taking us, vote Republican. If not, do your country a favor and vote a straight Democratic ticket for checks and balances. And no on all Amendments. They are a scam.
Yet another Veterans Day is here and once again Pitt Community College refuses to honor the men and women of the greatest military forces in the world. Why is it other public educational entities and all local governments have the day off in remembrance, yet PCC refuses year after year to give staff and students the day off as well?
BYH to the youth. There are lots of things to worry about in the world, but please remember to clean out your dryer's lint trap before you start a fire.
BYH. First they came for the journalists, but I did not speak up because I wasn't a journalist. We don't know what happened after that.
