Nov. 11 Bless Your Heart

Bless your heart to Officer Johnson at Vidant Medical Center. He came out on a windy, chilly night and changed my tire for me. It shows that officers are good. Not all of them are bad. He was patient and kind, showing me what he did and how he did it and what I needed to do to drive home safely. So kudos to Officer Johnson. May God bless you and thank you for saving a life.
BYH to the woman who paid for my order in the McDonald's drive-thru on 10th Street on Election Day. I was having a rough morning and the gesture was a welcome notion that there are still good people in this world. Thank you doesn't seem nearly enough to express my gratitude but it will have to do. I will most certainly pay it forward.
No bless your heart to Commander in Chief who calls a reporter a "rude, terrible person" for asking a question about the Russia investigation, yet fails to criticize Saudi Arabia for killing and dismembering a reporter of the Washington Post.
Bless your heart to open border advocates. Each should be mandated to share their house and groceries with one or two criminal immigrant families.
Bless your heart, elementary teachers. They have to go in early to get their room ready, have no break because of meetings and stay until 7 to host parent-teacher conferences. No wonder teachers are leaving the profession.
BYH to those whose homes have been broken into and property stolen. Do yourself a favor when you buy stuff. Keep the paperwork and record the serial numbers. That will help law enforcement locate your stuff and prosecute the thief.
Gas prices in Wayne and Duplin Counties have recently been between $2.41-$2.45 per gallon. Why 20 cents (or more) higher here in ArmPitt County?
BYH USA. It ain’t gonna be like this all the time. It’s gonna get worse!
Bless the hearts of Pitt County voters who elected a person with a pending lawsuit for abuse of power. Really!
BYH, I just don't see how a government that supposedly operates in good faith can, in good conscience, exist in a system of gerrymandering, artificially drawing arbitrary districts according to computer algorithms targeted to lock in one party. That goes against everything American. Districts should be simply by county. Those lines are already drawn.
BYH to the person writing about Obama and the economy that "we were worse off when he left." How soon some forget that Bush had driven the economy off a cliff and Obama got the train back on the track. Our present economy started with Obama policies 10 years ago.
BYH to shopping centers in Greenville that don't turn on existing parking lot lighting. Who wants to shop and go to their car in the dark at 5:45? Not safe!
Bless your heart, you are perfectly who you are.
