Nov. 14 Bless Your Heart
Wednesday, November 14, 2018
Bless your heart, Kinsley Tate White, for your creative essay "I Remember" in Monday's Report Card and Expressions section of The Daily Reflector. It was very well written, insightful and thought provoking. How proud your parents and Ms. Fowler must be. I am a former English teacher and can appreciate how gifted a 13-year-old you are. Keep writing, please.
Sending a thanks for the Pitt Emergency Clinic of Greenville. We are so fortunate to have such capable and compassionate care providers when a pet emergency occurs. I have been twice in as many weeks with different animals and know what a blessing this services is to our area. Thank you for all you do!
No BYH to President Trump for taking the White House press pass of CNN's Jim Acosta — a clear violation of the First Amendment’s "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press."
Bless your heart about Acosta. He was dismissed from the White House for his bad behavior and should have been long before this. Everyone saw what happened on national TV. Plain as day!
BYH to the new abnormal weather in California. More and people are not thinking before spending their money and building their "dream" homes in Malibu or Paradise. Dreams go up in smoke.
BYH to the 565 employees who lost their jobs at Alliance One, the third largest manufacturer in Pitt County. Our prayers are with you. I heard the business end will remain, for now, but y’all should go ahead and try to find other jobs, too. I mean — who couldn’t see this coming?
Bless your meddling heart, Harry Smith. So now you have decided to quit sticking your nose in all things ECU because of an email implicating you for proposing an unethical real estate venture? You have been determined to micromanage affairs at ECU for a long time, especially when it comes to Chancellor Staton. It has been clear from the day he arrived on campus that you were out to get him fired.
BYH to President Trump. Many people are finding fault with our president putting "America First." President Trump is a man of vision and one who defends America like no other president has. He is walking tall — standing up to anyone who wants to hurt America and what it stands for. God bless our president, and may he be used to protect and defend our country at any cost, no matter what any other country, or person thinks. Thank you, President Trump.
BYH to veterans and active-duty military personnel every day of their lives and every day of the year — always remembered, never forgotten and greatly appreciated — and a very sincere “thank you very much!”
