BYH to the city Public Works department for paying for an expensive public input session on sidewalks and not telling...

Dec. 4 Bless Your Heart

BYH to the stores that every time you go in they are trying to get you to buy candy, give a donation or use a rewards card. I know the manager and cashiers are doing their job at orders from higher ups, but I get tired of hearing it. Why don't they try to push these items themselves instead of putting it off on the store employee's to do it. I tell you this: I am glad I don't work for you!

Bless your heart to my boss. After I had my son, she has been nothing but flexible and supportive. Thank you for thinking of my family!

Bless your heart to the man who was flashing his gun around Target on Thanksgiving while shopping. With all the shootings that have been occurring in the USA, shame on you for being so reckless! If you were a different color, events would have played out differently.

GM making a business decision has nothing to do with the president, BYH.

BYH DR. What happened to the "Sports on TV" section on the sports page?

It’s still there. Look up and a little to the left in the Scoreboard.

Bless his heart, Obama saved the U.S. auto industry and Trump is trying to kill it. Maybe it is his way of trying to reverse another one of Obama's successes.

BYH, until the day when our elected leaders quit having to spend all their time fundraising for re-election rather than doing the people’s business, things will never get better.

BYH to the submission on the police having to help intoxicated patrons to their vehicles. You do realize that this sounded as if they condoned putting drunk drivers behind the wheel of a car. I know that's not what you meant to imply, but it did give me a laugh. Thank you GPD for all you do.

Thanks to all the people who work hard to make the holidays happier for the less fortunate. You show the world what Christmas — and being a good Christian — is all about.

BYH to the person stating non-Christians can celebrate Christmas. I agree you can celebrate what the world calls Christmas. The buying of things, and putting up Santa Claus — which in itself is not wrong. But the true meaning of Christmas is the birth of Jesus Christ. If you believe in him, then and only then can you truly understand the true meaning of Christmas. Merry Christmas.

BYH, I pay taxes to the city, county and the state. Officials of Pitt County need to insist that we get these roads of ours up to par. The responsible folks need to step up and do their job, regardless of who is supposed to do the work. Why can’t we just get the work done? Enough is enough!

BYH, ask yourself if what you are doing today is getting you closer to who you want to be tomorrow.

What good is the 10th Street Connector if I never can make it without catching the light at Line and Bancroft avenues?
