Does anyone use the chessboard at the library? I've driven by the library almost everyday since it opened and I have never seen a single person use the board. I hope our tax dollars didn't pay for this boondoggle.
Don't worry about the N.C. General Assembly cutting the budget allocation to ECU. If the football team is winning big they will lavish us with funding. Winning cures all ills if you are not sick.
Who wants more housing downtown? Do we not have enough of that housing that was streamlined by the previous mayor and council? Maybe the city should start offering incentives for new mattress stores? Gee wiz.
I love Greenville, after graduating from school I was able to find a job immediately and will be buying a house in the next year. My family wanted me to move back to Virginia but I decided to stay because I had so much fun in college.
BYH to our governmental "leaders." They won't/can't pass a real budget and come up with one stop-gap spending bill after another. It's too bad that we can't just fire them all and start over with a new batch . . and term limits. Seems the longer they stay there, the more corrupt and self-centered they become.
My brother-in-law is the human version of a headache, bless his heart.
Thank you to the Greenville Police Department for patrolling the University Neighborhood (TRUNA) over the past several weeks. We are thankful for your keen eyes while our wonderful neighbors are out of school.
BYH to having more imagination in our uptown. Imagination means freeing your mind to be creative. I am imagining art space and art lofts for creative class. In return this will create a culture of imagination.
BYH propagandists. You politicians and merchants can push out flowery language all you want about downtown. But as long as people are being killed in the streets downtown and around town I and my family are staying in. Facts are stubborn things.
BYH to the writer that praised Farmville for starting work on its missing and broken disconnected sidewalk system. While I agree that two projects are welcome, the town continues to drag its feet in this work. Just this week they 'fixed' a sidewalk corner on East Wilson Street and neglected to make it handicapped accessible even though a 28 year old law requires them to do so. My molasses moves quicker than they do.
Bless your hearts ECU athletics. Two coaches who were chased off have a football team in the top 4 and we lost a quarterback who was No. 5 in Heisman voting. This is winning?
Bless my heart, I want to be 14 again so I could ruin my life differently. I have new ideas.
