Jan. 12 Bless Your Heart

A special bless Your heart to the people who paid for lunch for me and my husband last week at Hwy 55 near Lowe’s. You don’t know how much we appreciated that and how surprised we were. We’ve been going through some financial situations and that was such a pleasant and unexpected appreciation. I don’t know who you are, but thank you very much.
Another Dollar General robbery in Belvoir occurred last Saturday. Have robberies of Dollar Generals become accepted criminal occurrences? Where is the accountability on the part of law enforcement and the criminal?
Just reading last Sunday’s bless your heart, let’s see, there’s one, two, three — or is it four? — Trump-support, right-leaning nonsense. How about giving some word to truth, morality, democracy and things that aren’t right? Okay? I’m so tired of your right-leaning nonsense.
BYH to the person who said "You can clearly see that he (Trump) cares about the American people." You have been brainwashed, my friend.
BYH, President Trump. With regard to the government shutdown, let’s just call it what it is: blackmail! Blackmail to get what he wants at the expense of hard-working Americans!
Since President Trump has a lot of money, why does he not pay for the wall and then have his name on it? He likes to see his name on structures.
Five billion dollars for a wall is a small price to pay for our border security especially when you consider what it costs once these lawbreakers infiltrate our country.
Just listen to the statements on the border. Obama and Trump say the the exact same thing. Quit playing politics, Democrats. Build the wall.
BYH Pirate Radio, things must be tough for you.
BYH to the State Theatre delaying their grand opening yet again. Sort of like a drunk at the bar telling their spouse they'll be home in 15 minutes. Three hours later, still a no show.
To the grammar police after the so called unschooled ECU prof, maybe you need to check Webster and see that a podium can and does also refer to what some may call the “lectern.” Holding the speaker’s notes, etc., does indeed make it the “base” for said speaker. Nip it in the bud, Barney. BYH.
BYH to those complaining about ECU Chancellor Cecil Staton. He is a stand-up guy with high morals who is doing an excellent job.
Bless my granddaughter’s heart. She’s only seven years old, but she surprised me because she wanted to share her candy from the Grifton parade with the young men from the group home. I explained to her what a nice thing she was doing in sharing.
BYH, I know housework won't kill me, but why take the chance?
