BYH: To the city of Greenville. You spend dollars promoting uptown Greenville to draw many in. Now you want to drive...

BYH to the NIMBY (Not in my back yard) contributor in reference to the Winterville greenway: easy to say when it's NIYBY (Not in your back yard)?!

Thanks to Beth Ward and Tom Coulson for not falling for Greenville’s takeover of county industrial development. BYH to all those city folks for praising such an archaic idea, as if it is something new!

Bless our hearts. Even the cormorants are talking about politics! (Feb. 6, DR contributed photo)

BYH, RIP and Godspeed to John Dingell, who served 30 terms in Congress, and said "I signed up to fight the Nazis 73 years ago, and I'll do it again if I have to.” Hatred, bigotry and fascism should have no place in this country.

BYH, have you ever looked up the word “trumpery” in the dictionary? Here are the first three definitions: 1) deceit; fraud; 2) anything calculated to deceive by false show, anything externally splendid but intrinsically of little value, worthless finery; 3) useless matter, trifles, rubbish, nonsense. Nailed it, Webster.

BYH to President Trump. A great man is one who will stand alone and to do what is right. President Trump is that man. The Demos do everything they can to disrupt his work to make America great again. Let us support, and pray for our president.

BTH of the pro-cable/internet reader, but we don't actually have a choice. Tried to revise autopay by phone, mail, web and in person. Can't do it, so I have to pay a convenience fee to receive a paper bill. The house wins.

Bless their hearts, if the new Democratic majority in Congress act with the same zeal as the old Republican majority, the Republicans better watch out! Pass the subpoenas!

It should be against the law to post photos of yourself on Facebook that are over 12 months old. I could not get over how good you looked until I saw that the photo was nine years old. Observe the truth-in-advertising laws.

Why did murder status hearings work under Judge Duke? Because he held everyone accountable and was a no-nonsense judge. BYH Pitt County justice. You are letting the murderers win.

BYH to those owning the land where the Jones-Lee house now resides. Can you help us citizens save this historic home? City leaders, what can you do? City residents, if you care about this, speak up! Let's all work together for a solution to keep this wonderful city landmark intact for many years to come for everyone to enjoy.

BYH wage-earners. Triple-T has the easy solution for your tipping conundrum at the trendy barbecue restaurant. A tip jar is the perfect place to get rid of those pesky Canadian coins. And, at the bottom of the check where there is a tip line, simply write, "Get a real job, beggar!" Not so sincerely, The Tightwad Tipper.
