Sept. 10 Bless Your Heart
Tuesday, September 10, 2019
Bless your heart to our public works employees who worked so hard to keep our streets and storm sewers clear during the hurricane. Very thankful for your service to our city.
BYH ECU and former Chancellor Cecil Staton. Thank you Chancellor Staton for the new southside stadium expansion, which you championed. And thank you for Dave Hart, Jon Gilbert, Joe Dooley and Mike Houston. The positive economic impact for Greenville and the east will be felt for years to come!
BTH of the contributor who believes we’re not safe since he’s no longer packing and patrolling the aisles of Walmart and Walgreens. I understand your frustration as I too used to ride around protecting citizens with my six shooter but had to give it up to go to kindergarten.
BYH to Walmart and the others for stopping open carry in their stores. As someone affected by gun violence, the sight of guns gives me great anxiety and often causes me to avoid these places.
How 'bout some physics jokes: “Schrödinger's cat walks into a bar. And doesn't.” “Wanted: Schrodinger's cat. Dead and alive.”
Physics jokes may be over our head.
BYH, a loser is someone who falls down six times. A winner is someone who gets up seven times.
BYH to the writer who thinks inmates don't deserve an education. What is prison besides a chance to learn from your mistakes? Prison should be about rehabilitation, not just a cruel punishment.
Bless Your Heart to those hip people who love the proposals of the socialist Democrats running for president. You need to remember the lyrics of the Beatle's song, "Taxman," lamenting the high tax rates in socialist England at the time "one for you and nineteen for me." The Beatles didn't like paying over 90 percent tax and we won't either.
BYH Border Wall construction. So, not only is Mexico not paying for the border wall but Trump is taking money from sorely needed military construction projects to fund his obsession? Maybe he could just take a sharpie and draw a border wall.
BYH Chancellor Dan: There are lots of good things in Greenville. Get rid of the old-school, Greenville mafia members who are around you and take us to a new place!
Mack is back. Need I say more?
BYH, road builders! The Reflector has reported that the Southwest Bypass will be completed ahead of schedule because good weather, while the Reflector also reported the company doing the Arlington Boulevard blamed their failure to complete the project on time on the bad weather we've been having. Didn't know we had so many different climates in little ole" Greenville.
