Crime: Computer, camera equipment stolen during break-in

Computer and camera equipment and other items valued at more than $9,600 were stolen from a Brownlea Drive home on Sunday.

Someone entered a home at 116 Brownlea Drive, Apt. 11, between 2:30 and 5 a.m. on Sunday, according to a Greenville Police Department case report. The person obtained entry without use of force.

The residents reported the break-in to Greenville police at 7:27 a.m. They reported that a black Xbox One game console with white HDMI cord, computer mouse, Suddenlink modem, Acer laptop, a dark gray Macbook Pro laptop, a silver Macbook Pro laptop, three bottles of medication, a beige and black purse, a black iPhone 7, a black camera bag, three Canon professional camera lenses and a Canon AE-D camera were stolen.

The items all are valued at $9,605.

Greenville police are continuing to investigate.

1000 S. Memorial Drive, 6:15 p.m. Feb. 13: Icehouse Edge beer and packet of BC Powder pain reliever all valued at $3.98 stolen from Handy Mart; arrest made. 

700 block Roosevelt Avenue, 6:30 p.m. Feb. 12-4:30 a.m. Feb. 13: Garmin GPS, black Dell laptop and 2-carat diamond ring with white gold band all valued at $1,700 stolen from vehicle; no damage reported; investigation ongoing.

210 S.W. Greenville Boulevard, 7:10-7:20 p.m. Feb. 12: two children’s T-shirts, two pairs of children’s sunglasses, two children’s wristwatches, two children’s swimsuits and coffee mug all valued at $57.88 stolen from Wal-Mart and recovered; arrest made.

2521 N. Memorial Drive, 12:35-12:40 p.m. Feb. 12: two cases of Corona beer and case of Natural Light beer all valued at $53 stolen from Sheetz; investigation ongoing.

1800 block East First Street, 1-10 a.m. Feb. 12: women’s necklace, Swiss Army traditional backpack, school notebooks and supplies and three textbooks all valued at $675 stolen from vehicle; investigation ongoing.

100 block Paul Circle, 4-8 p.m. Feb. 11: blue 1997 Honda CRV valued at $5,000 stolen by acquaintance; case cleared.

1900 block Covengton Way, 5:30 p.m. Feb. 10-5:30 p.m. Feb. 11: two pairs of Apple headphones valued at $30 stolen from vehicle; no damage reported; investigation ongoing.

2900 block Cedar Creek Road, 5-5:19 p.m. Feb. 11: Samsung Galaxy S7 cellphone valued at $300 stolen; investigation ongoing.
