A man brandishing a handgun robbed two men who were sitting on a front porch Friday evening on Colonial Avenue, according to Greenville police.

A 67-year-old man and a 58-year-old man were sitting on the porch in the 1300 block of Colonial Avenue about 6:20 p.m. when a stranger reportedly approached them with a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from them.

The stranger entered the residence, stole an undisclosed amount of cash and was picked up several minutes later by an unidentified subject, according to police.

It did not appear to be a random act, according to Kristen Hunter, spokeswoman for the Greenville Police Department.

No one was hurt during the robbery, and police continue to investigate.
