Three passengers injured in a rollover wreck on Thursday were charged for not wearing their seatbelts, according to a weekly review of crashes investigated in Pitt County by the State Highway Patrol.

The wreck occurred about 12:54 p.m. on Stantonsburg Road near Toddy Road, about 2 miles north of Farmville. 

Brittney Nicole Kaminski of Farmville was traveling west in a 2002 Toyota passenger car on Stantonsburg Road, according to a crash report. Kaminski struck a ditch, and the vehicle rolled over multiple times.

Kaminski and her passengers — Tracie Jo-Anna Mozingo of Greenville, Shirley Virginia Kaminski of Farmville, Kimberly Dawn Brady of Fountain and a child — all were injured in the wreck, the report indicates.

Brittney and Shirley Kaminski, along with Mozingo, Brady and the child, were transported to Vidant Medical Center by Pitt County EMS. 

Brittney Kaminski was charged with driving while license revoked, driving left of center, inspection violation, insurance violation, failure to register, fictitious registration plate, a child safety seat violation and slick tires.

Mozingo, Shirley Kaminski, Brady and the child were not wearing seatbelts, according to the report. Mozingo, Brady and Shirley Kaminski were charged with seatbelt violations.

Brittney Kaminski’s vehicle sustained $15,000 in damages. 

The wreck was among 11 the State Highway Patrol investigated recently in Pitt County, according to reports available between July 31 and Sunday. Wrecks involving deer and other animals are not included.
