Two men robbed the Circle K Gas Station early Monday at the corner of Evans Street and Arlington Boulevard, the Greenville Police Department.

The robbery occurred less than a mile south from where two men robbed Wings over Greenville about 8:35 p.m. Sunday, about five hours before the second robbery, the department reported.

“Detectives are reviewing surveillance cameras from the recent armed robbery locations and are looking into the possibility they could be connected,” department spokeswoman Kristen Hunter said.

The Circle K robbery occurred at 1:28 a.m. at 2195 Evans St. Two young black men entered the store wearing dark hoodies, dark pants and their faces were covered, Hunter said.

One was armed with a gun and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk complied and gave them an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects also took several packs of cigarettes, and they both ran toward the rear of the business.

No one was injured during the robbery, Hunter said.

During the Wings over Greenville robbery, the suspects were described as black and one was wearing a red hoodie, a blue bandanna, dark pants and was armed with a black handgun. The second suspect was wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans and was armed with a gray handgun.

In both robberies, the suspects ran toward the back of the buildings.
