Woman charged with habitual larceny

A woman was charged with habitual larceny Wednesday after she was apprehended for stealing items from Kohls department store.

The incident occurred about 1:10 p.m .on Dec. 13 at the store located at Galleria Drive.

The woman allegedly stole Juicy Couture Perfume valued $37.99 and miscellaneous clothing items valued at $127.96 A 69-year-old woman and 33-year-old man arrested, and the woman was charged with habitual larceny, and the man was charged two counts of misdemeanor larceny.

The stolen items were recovered.


The police department released reports Thursday with the following details and allegations:

Break-ins, thefts

■ 2200 block N.E. Greenville Boulevard, 8 a.m. Nov. 24-2 p.m. Dec. 13: catalytic converter valued at $1,000 stolen from brown Honda Accord; no injuries reported; investigation ongoing.

■ 2503 S. Memorial Drive, 2:45-2:59 p.m. Dec. 13: pack of curtains valued at $8 stolen from Family Dollar; investigation inactive.

■ 900 block W. Fifth Street, 8:25-8:35 p.m. Dec. 12: 2000 GMC Yukon valued at $1,1630 stolen from parking lot/garage; 42-year-old man arrested and charged with larceny of motor vehicle; victim was acquaintance of offender.

■ 4600 E. 10th Street, 1:38-2:30 p.m. Dec. 13: two light bulbs for vehicle headlights valued at $37.76 stolen from Walmart; 21-year-old male arrested and charged with misdemeanor larceny and failure to appear on misdemeanor; stole items recovered.

■ 600 block S. Elm Street, 9 p.m. Oct. 13: bicycle valued at $150 stolen from victim’s home; no injuries reported; investigation inactive. 

■ 2400 S. Memorial Drive, 10:54-11:21 a.m. Dec. 13: gray and pink sweat suit outfit and denim jumper outfit both valued at $21.99 stolen from Citi Trends; investigation inactive. 

■ 2800 S. Memorial Drive, 12:52-12:59 a.m. Dec. 13: section of barbed-wire fence valued at $10 stolen from Star 1 Automotive; investigation ongoing. 

■ 200 block Fairlane Road, 10:30 p.m. Dec. 12-7:30 a.m. Dec. 13: set of vehicle and house keys valued at $50 stolen from vehicle; investigation inactive. 

■ 120 block W. Victoria Court, 6 p.m. Dec. 12- 8:30 a.m. Dec. 13: Whirlpool washer and dryer valued at $500 each, mantle shelf and bathroom mirror valued at $200 each, Frigidaire microwave valued at $900 and Frigidaire Refrigerator valued at $2,000 all stolen; inactive warrants obtained.

■1100 block Cotanche Street, 6 p.m. Dec. 10-midnight Dec. 11: bass guitar with strap, strings and wooden neck valued at $500 stolen from  home; investigation ongoing. 

■ 516 Cotanche Street, 1:20-1:35 p.m. Dec. 7: two 18-ounce Yeti ramble and one 30-ounce Yeti rambler all valued at $99.97 stolen from University Book Exchange; two 19-year-old males arrested and charged with misdemeanor larceny.


■ 3900 block Elkin Drive, 6 p.m. Dec. 13: woman assaulted by significant other; cellphone valued at $50 stolen; minor injuries reported; investigation ongoing. 

■ 300 block Paige Drive, 9 p.m. Dec. 12 to 6:26 a.m. Dec. 13: woman assaulted at residence; no injuries reported; inactive warrants obtained.
