Woman charged with DWI after crashing her car

A 21-year-old woman was charged with driving while impaired after she crashed her car, according to a weekly review of Pitt County court records.
Chelsey Nicole Winter, 21, of 3012 Poplar Grove Drive crashed her car about 2:41 p.m. on Feb. 25 near NC 43 and Bells Fork road. She had red glassy eyes and an odor of alcohol on her breath. Her blood alcohol level was 0.08.
Four others also were charged with driving while impaired according to court records and law enforcement reports available between Feb. 21 and Feb. 28, 2018. In those cases, court documents indicate:
Taylor Lawrence Davis, 30, of 2647 MacGregor Downs Road, was stopped at 6:52 a.m. on Feb. 21 near U.S. 264 and Sugg Parkway by the State Highway Patrol. He had red glassy eyes, an odor of alcohol on his breath and was involved in a traffic accident.
Elizabeth Ann Sharpe, 38, of 3331 N.C. 33 West, was stopped at 11:22 a.m. on Feb. 24 near N.C. 33 and Roosevelt Spain Road by the State Highway Patrol. She had red glassy eyes, an odor of alcohol on her breath and her blood alcohol level was 0.19 . She also was charged with having an open container.
Willie Morris Edwards, 49, of 3623 Walnut Street, Farmville, was stopped at 11:43 p.m. on Feb. 24 near the Farmville McDonalds by the Farmville Police Department. He was staggering and had trouble walking, had red glassy eyes, an odor of alcohol on his breath and slurred speech. He refused to take a breathalyzer test.
Caroline Miller Perry, 23, of 2901 East Fifth St., was stopped at 1:31 a.m. on Feb. 23 near Founders Drive and Chancellors Way by the East Carolina University Police Department. She had red glassy eyes and her blood alcohol level was 0.13.
