A Greenville man filed a police report after a group of juveniles set a ditch on fire near his home.

The blaze was set in the 1300 block of Westpointe Drive between 6 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. on Thursday, according to a Greenville Police Department report.

Kristen Hunter, Greenville Police public Information officer, said fire damage mostly was confined to the underbrush along a ditch in an area, spanning about 70 feet.

No injuries were reported and the fire was extinguished by Greenville Fire-Rescue crews.

The case remains under investigation.

Break-ins, thefts

■ 240 S.W. Greenville Blvd., 1:43 a.m. April 20: front door of Perez Jewelry smashed to gain entry; miscellaneous jewelry items valued at $25 stolen; investigation ongoing.

■ 600 block Southeast Greenville Boulevard, 6:10-9:30 p.m. April 19: magnetic campaign sign valued at $35 stolen from parking lot; investigation ongoing.

■ 3501 Galleria Drive, 6:33 p.m. April 19: miscellaneous men’s, women’s and children’s clothing items valued at $360 stolen from Kohl’s and recovered; 54-year-old man arrest and charged with habitual larceny.

■ 303 S.W. Greenville Blvd., 8 a.m.-6:05 p.m. April 6: larceny at Greenville Convention Center reported; no items listed as stolen; investigation ongoing.

Assaults

■ 500 block Evans Street, 1-1:03 a.m. April 7: three 17-year-old boys and a 19-year-old man assaulted at gunpoint in parking lot; extent of injuries not reported; investigation ongoing.

Property Damage

■ 100 block Concord Drive, 9 p.m. April 19: living room front window of home broken, $200 in damages; investigation ongoing.

■ 300 block Southeast Greenville Boulevard, 6:55 p.m. April 19: Galaxy cellphone valued at $300 damaged by boyfriend; case closed/cleared; prosecution declined.

■ 1100 block East 10th Street, 12:01-9 a.m. April 18: 2003 Toyota Hilux SUV, 2014 Honda CRV and 2004 Ford Mustang sustained $400 in damages in parking lot; investigation ongoing.

■ 100 block Pearl Drive, 9:30-9:40 p.m. April 6: 2005 Toyota 4Runner/Highlander SUV sustained $150 in damages along road; case cleared by citation.

The sheriff’s office released reports Friday with the following details and allegations:

■ 500 block Keagan Way, near Grimesland, 5:30 p.m. April 18-7:13 a.m. April 19: force used to gain entry to vehicle; Glock 23 .40 caliber pistol and Galco left-handed holster valued at $530 stolen; investigation ongoing.

■ 3800 block Edwards Road, near Grimesland, 10:42 a.m. April 13-10:32 a.m. April 19: Smith & Wesson 44 valued at $300 stolen and recovered; case closed/cleared; unfounded.

■ 2400 United Drive, 4:30 p.m. April 18: Milwaulkee power screwdriver, Milwaulkee half-inch hammer drill, Milwaukee electric impact driver and GearWench wrench set, all valued at $403, stolen from Fastenal fastener supplier; investigation ongoing.

■ 400 block Clayton Circle, near Washington, 5:55-5:56 p.m. April 19: iPad mini, Navy medic bag, Fleet Marine Force metal pin, rosary beads and Navy patch, all valued at $125, stolen from vehicle by known person; investigation ongoing.

■ 300 block Tucker Road, near Grimesland, 8 p.m. April 18-5:48 a.m. April 19: force used to break into vehicle; $46 in cash, 20 phenapermine pills of unlisted value and headphones of unlisted brand and Beats headphones valued at $360 stolen; investigation ongoing. 

■ 5700 block N.C. 33 East, near Grimesland, 11:30 p.m. April 18-6:04 a.m. April 19: force used to gain entry to vehicle; Michael Kors purse and wallet valued at $150, debit card, driver’s license and Social Security card, all of unlisted value, and $6 in cash stolen; purse recovered; investigation ongoing.

■ 6000 block Clarks Neck Road, near Washington, 7:35-7:36 a.m. April 19: purse and contents valued at $75 stolen from vehicle by known person and recovered; Coach wallet valued at $100 stolen but not recovered; investigation ongoing.

■ 300 block Tucker Road, near Grimesland, 10:35 p.m. April 18-7:33 a.m. April 19: 75 cents in change stolen from vehicle; investigation ongoing.

■ 500 block Keagan Way, near Grimesland, 7:30 p.m. April 18-7 p.m. April 19: force used to enter home; no items listed as stolen; investigation ongoing.

■ 300 block Tucker Road, near Grimesland, 9:52 a.m. April 19: force used to enter vehicle; no items listed as stolen; investigation ongoing.

■ 2800 block Sherwin Downs Drive, near Grimesland, 8 p.m. April 18-1:27 a.m. April 19: force used to gain entry to vehicle; Pelican case valued at $200 stolen; investigation ongoing.
