A Winterville man is facing charges after allegedly breaking into the home of an ex-girlfriend, according to the Greenville Police Department.

Police reports indicate that Melshaun Victor Hawkins, 25, allegedly broke into the 27-year-old woman’s home located in the 3000 block of Landmark Street between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Police arrested and charged Hawkins with breaking and entering to terrorize or injure, domestic criminal trespassing and resisting a public officer. 

Hawkins is being detained at the Pitt County Detention Center under no bond.

■ 1600 block Wimbledon Drive, 9 p.m. June 15-10:08 p.m. June 17: 2008 Honda motorcycle valued at $5,500 stolen from home; investigation ongoing.

■ 100 block Brownlea Drive, 3 p.m. June 16-9:30 a.m. June 17: 2000 GMC Jimmy valued at $10,000 stolen from home; investigation ongoing.

■ 1200 block Chestnut Street, 3 p.m June 16-12:40 a.m. June 17: house entered forcibly; no items listed as stolen; front door frame valued at $200 damaged; case inactive.

■ 4600 E. 10th St., 1:10-1:30 p.m. June 16: Xbox controller valued at $29.88 stolen from Walmart and recovered; arrest made.

■ 100 block South Rotary Avenue, 2:10-2:20 a.m. June 16: leather wallet with assorted cards and iPhone case valued at $700 stolen from home; investigation ongoing.
