Three women escaped injury early Sunday after someone fired at the car they were in on Albemarle Avenue, according to a Greenville Police Department report.

The incident occurred about 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of Alley Street, the report said. The women, all in their early 20s, reported the the 2013 Hyundai Elantra was hit by bullets while they were inside.

Police recovered a mangled projectile, the report said. An investigation is ongoing.

■ 2100 County Home Road, 2:27 a.m. July 9: case of Redd’s Blueberry Beer valued at $9.29 stolen from Sheetz and recovered; case cleared by citation.

■ 210 S.W. Greenville Blvd., 5:52 p.m. July 8: one container of Black Box wine valued at $4.87 stolen from Walmart; case closed/cleared; prosecution declined.

■ 3800 block Sterling Pointe Drive, near Winterville, 5:25-5:30 p.m. July 8: attempted breaking and entering of home reported; no items listed as stolen; 25-year-old woman arrested and charged with felony breaking and/or entering to terrorize or injure.

■ 700 block Patton Circle, near Winterville, 7:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m. July 8: two Xbox 360 games and Xbox 360, all valued at $140, stole from home; investigation ongoing.

■ 4100 block Bridge Court, near Winterville, 7 p.m. July 7-8 a.m. July 8: vehicle break-in reported; no items listed as stolen; 2007Mazda MX6 SUV valued at $5,000 damaged; investigation ongoing.

■ 1500 block Manning Forest Drive, 11:30 p.m. July 7-9:30 a.m. July 8: black pocketbook of unlisted value containing Social Security card and $700 in cash and a pink Michael Kors pocketbook valued at $300 containing driver’s license and $200 in cash stolen from vehicle; front passenger side window shattered, $150 in damages; investigation ongoing.

■ 3700 block Bostic Drive, 4:30-4:41 a.m. July 8: vehicle stolen; year, make/model and value not listed; investigation ongoing.

■ 200 block Locust Drive, 3:13 a.m. July 8: home entered by ex-boyfriend reported; no items listed as stolen; 22-year-old man arrested and charged with misdemeanor breaking or entering.

■ 1800 block Kennedy Circle, 10:30-11:10 p.m. July 7: ground-floor rear window of home jimmied to gain entry; two video games, cable box and Xbox One S gaming system, all valued at $470, stolen; case inactive: closed/cleared; unfounded.

■ 200 block Southwest Greenville Boulevard, 6:02 p.m. July 7: pink and brown women’s wallet and Samsung J7 cellphone valued at $515 stolen from woman at discount store; investigation ongoing.

■ 700 block West Belvoir Road, 9 p.m. July 6-5:30 p.m. July 7: N.C. license plate valued at $50 stolen from vehicle; investigation ongoing.

■ 1715 Dickinson Ave., 4:30-4:48 p.m. July 7: large pack of fresh meat valued at $9.68 stolen from Save-A-Lot grocery store; case cleared by citation.

■ 3160 Evans St., 9:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m. July 4: two CLP series Motorola radios valued at $438 stolen from Marshall’s; investigation ongoing.

■ 300 block Moses Drive, 3:30-4:10 p.m. July 7: front door of home entered without force by friend; exercise machine and exercise workout balloon/ball valued at $40 stolen; case closed/cleared; prosecution declined.

■ 3600 block East 10th Street, 12:30 a.m.-1:50 p.m. July 7: N.C. registration plate valued at $65 stolen from vehicle; 2004 Toyota Solara sustained $300 in damages; investigation ongoing.

■ 100 block Phillips Circle, midnight-1 p.m. July 7: door of storage building at home entered with no force; bicycle valued at $50 stolen; investigation ongoing.

■ 90 block Brookwood Drive, 1-1:40 p.m. July 7: home break-in reported; no items listed as stolen; case inactive; cleared/closed; victim refused to cooperate.

■ 300 block Lindsay Drive, 3-6:30 a.m. July 7: bodily force used on front door of home to gain entry; no items listed as stolen; wooden front door and door frame of unlisted valued damaged; investigation ongoing.

■ 700 block Peed Drive, 12:20-12:52 a.m. July 7: vehicle stolen; year, make/model and value not listed; case closed/cleared; prosecution declined.

■ 200 block Haven Drive, 4-5 p.m. July 6: ground-floor rear window of home climbed through to gain entry; smartphone valued at $100 stolen and recovered; case closed/cleared; prosecution declined.

■ 714 S.E. Greenville Blvd., 4:50-5 p.m. July 6: Tommy Hilfiger underwear valued at $39.50 stolen from Belk and recovered; case cleared by citation.

Assaults

■ 200 block Lindbeth Drive, 12:40 a.m. July 9: juvenile assaulted by grandparent; minor injuries reported; 57-year-old man arrested and charged with assault by strangulation and assault on a female.

■ 200 block Easy Street, 12:45-12:55 p.m. July 8: 57-year-old woman assaulted in parking lot by ex-boyfriend; minor injuries reported; case inactive.
