Maryland man jailed on $1 million bond

Greenville Police arrested a Maryland man Friday on drug trafficking charges and weapons charges.
According to detention center records, Darrin Jermaine Patterson, 28, of Maryland is charged with altering a gun serial number, trafficking opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver heroin, possession of heroin, simple possession of Schedule IV, maintaining dwelling/place for sale of controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Arrest warrants indicate Patterson had more than 28 grams of heroin and more than five grams of marijuana along with Xanax and other drug paraphernalia.
He is at the Pitt County Detention Center under $1 million bond.
