Two dead, one injured in Rocky Mount shootings

ROCKY MOUNT — Two men are dead and another wounded as the result of a shooting incident early on Tuesday morning in the Bunn Farm subdivision in Rocky Mount.

Rocky Mount police responded to a reported shooting with injury att 6:23 a.m. at 1901 Forest Wood Road. When officers arrived at the home in the normally quiet neighborhood, they found three victims who were injured as the result of an aggravated assault.

One victim, Mustafa Yousef Shabanah, 33, was found dead at the scene, Rocky Mount police Cpl. Brad Summerlin said in a release. Two other victims, Anthony Ryan Hilliard, 30, and Randy Navoro Williams, 32, were treated at the scene and transported to the emergency room at Nash UNC Health Care.

Hilliard and Williams were transferred to Vidant Medical Hospital in Greenville, where Hilliard later died from his wounds. At last report, Williams was listed in stable condition.

Police have not released any information concerning a probable motive or suspects in the case. However, Summerlin said that none of the victims were related to one another.
