Two men arrested in separate shooting cases

The Greenville Police Department on Wednesday announced the arrests of two men wanted in separate shooting incidents.
Raleigh Police arrested 19-year-old Malicah Carter of Rolesville on Oct.1 in connection with the Aug. 24 shooting outside Pecan Grove Apartments in Greenville. He also is charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance.
Carter was one of the individuals injured during the shooting and police said he is the third individual to be charged in connection with the case. Bond and booking information for Carter were unavailable.
Greenville Police arrested 20-year-old Skyler Austin Sutton (also known as Skyler Belcher), of Ayden on Oct. 6 in connection with the Aug. 29 shooting in the area of 603 S.E. Greenville Boulevard. No one was injured in the incident.
Sutton is charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and discharging a weapon within city limits He is housed in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $500,000 bond.
Police said Sutton is the sixth individual to be charged in connection to the case. Greenville Police spokeswoman Kristen Hunter said Sutton was arrested at his workplace, located at 1852 W. Arlington Blvd., on Saturday afternoon.
