Over $1,000 in jewelry was stolen from a 55-year-old man in a hotel room, according to a report released by the Greenville Police Department Tuesday.

The incident took place about 4 p.m. on Oct. 4 at the Holiday Inn, 203 S.W. Greenville Blvd., according to the report.

A silver bracelet, silver hoop earrings, silver costume necklace with pearl, Kendra Scott abalone with a gold setting necklace, 13-carat pearl and diamond necklace, Sterling silver and diamond one-carat bracelet, and a TJ Maxx bag containing dress shoes, all valued at $1,130, were stolen from the room, according to the report.

An investigation is ongoing.

Break-ins, thefts

■ 3000 block Clubway Drive, noon-11 p.m. July 15: nine-millimeter Smith and Wesson firearm valued at $250 stolen from home; investigation ongoing.

■ 210 S.W. Greenville Blvd., 7-7:20 p.m. Oct. 9: unspecified clothing items, black Core Battery, black automotive battery, and unspecified miscellaneous items, all valued at $205.53, stolen from Walmart and recovered; case inactive.

■ 4600 E. 10th St., 5-6:30 p.m. Oct. 9: unspecified quantity of food items valued at $120.68 stolen from Walmart; case closed by citation.

■ 3040 Evans St., 4:45-4:54 p.m. Oct. 9: miscellaneous health and beauty items valued at $67.51 stolen from Target and recovered; case closed by citation. 

■ 100 block Lakeview Trail, 4:28 p.m. Oct. 9: larceny by acquaintance reported at home; no items listed as stolen; case inactive/warrants obtained.

■ 714 S.E. Greenville Blvd., noon-12:30 p.m. Oct. 9: six long sleeve shirts, 11 short sleeve t-shirts, four Anorak jackets, seven Bling leggings with shiny stripes on each side, six Ultimate leggings, and five high-waist leggings, all valued at $327.70, stolen from Victoria Secret; investigation ongoing.

■ 3800 block East Vancroft Circle, 3 p.m. Oct. 5-10 p.m. Oct. 7: black .45 caliber MP Smith and Wesson Compact valued at $499.99 and black Century Arms AK-47 with 30 round clip valued at $799.99 stolen from home by in law; arrest made.

■ 3160 Evans St., 5-5:30 p.m. Oct. 8: black Nike basketball shorts valued at $45.99 and black Nike hoodie valued at $45.99 stolen from Omega Sports; case inactive.

■ 800 Thomas Langston Road, 8:36-8:53 a.m. Oct. 7: Dewalt 18-volt to 20-volt battery adapter set, Dewalt 12 volt to 20 volt bluetooth speaker, and Kobalt mechanics tool set, all valued at $402.97, stolen from Lowes Home Improvement; investigation ongoing.

■ 714 S.E. Greenville Blvd., 4:47 p.m. Sept. 26: New Directions earrings, ring, and necklace, all valued at $75, stolen from Belk; case inactive.

■ 1000 block Allen Ridge Road, 8 a.m. Sept. 6: larceny reported; no items listed as stolen; case inactive.

Pitt County

The sheriff’s office released reports Monday with the following details and allegations:

Break-ins, thefts

■ 2100 block Porter Road, 5:30 p.m. Oct. 8: Dodge Charger of unlisted year valued at $30,000 stolen by known person; case status: open.

Assaults

■ 5600 block N.C. 11 North, near Bethel, 10:18 a.m. Oct. 8: 18-year-old man assaulted at home; extent of injuries not reported; arrest made.

■ 800 block Applejack Drive, 2 p.m. Oct. 7: 50-year-old man assaulted at home by wife; minor injuries reported; case status open.

Property Damage

■ 300 block Briley Road, 11 p.m. Oct. 7-8:35 a.m. Oct. 8: single-occupancy structure sustained $500 in damages; case cleared.
