Man shoves clerks, steals beer

A man shoved two female employees of Speedway while stealing $10 worth of Bud Light on Tuesday night, according to a report taken by the Greenville Police Department.
The incident took place about 9 p.m. at the store on 3000 Stantonsburg Road, according to the case report filed on Thursday.
The thief shoved the women as they attempted to stop him from stealing the beer, said Kristen Hunter, public information officer for the department. Reports indicate that the suspect was intoxicated during the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.
Monte Hudson, 47, a resident of Bethel, was arrested about 15 minutes after the incident took place, according to the report. He was charged with assault on a female, attempted larceny, intoxicated and disruptive behavior and resisting/obstructing a public officer.
The police department released reports Wednesday with the following details and allegations:
■ 2900 E. 10th St., 11:30 a.m. Sept. 29-10:30 a.m. Oct. 10: multicolored trailer valued at $5,000 stolen from Capital Automotive; investigation ongoing.
■ 2800 block Hamilton Street, 1-1:20 a.m. Oct. 11: 40-year-old woman assaulted at home by ex-boyfriend; minor injuries reported; case inactive/warrants obtained.
■ 4155 S. Memorial Drive, 10-10:18 p.m. Oct. 10: 35-year-old man assaulted by wife at Dairy Queen; extent of injuries not reported; case unfounded.
The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office released reports Tuesday with the following details and allegations:
■ 6300 block N.C. 43 South, 6:30-7 p.m. Oct. 9: iPhone sustained $200 in damages from boyfriend on street; case cleared.
■ 500 block Burruss Place, 9-11 a.m. Oct. 8: siding of single occupancy structure sustained $50 in damages from neighbor; case inactive: victim refused to cooperate.
■ 3134 N.C. 121, near Farmville, 1 p.m. Oct. 10: glass door of Hustle Mart sustained $500 in damages; arrest made.
