A Saturday night house fire displaced three adults and a child, according to Greenville Fire-Rescue officials.

The call came in around 5:30 p.m., and first responders saw smoke and flames coming out of the home located in 200 block of Bent Creek in the Westhaven subdivision in Greenville.

Chief Eric Griffin said that smoke and flames were showing when firefighters arrived and that most of the damage was contained to an upstairs bedroom.

Griffin said two people were home at the time but that everyone was able to escape the fire and no injuries were reported

The cause of the fire is undetermined and is still being investigated by the fire marshal’s office.

The Red Cross is assisting the family.
