The Greenville Police Department on Tuesday identified a woman they believe robbed a Family Dollar at gunpoint last week.
The incident occurred about 6 p.m. on Nov. 28 at the store on 1601 S. Evans St. The department released several images of the woman captured by a surveillance camera Tuesday morning.
The woman was located in the Pitt County Detention Center, where she was being held on unrelated charges. Detectives late Tuesday afternoon were securing warrants to charge her in the robbery, a news release said.
Witnesses told police the woman entered the business, implied that she had a gun and demanded money. She was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the incident.
She was a white woman wearing a striped stocking cap, a black hooded sweater and blue pants. Police said her name will be released once warrants are served.
