Items stolen from Ulta; woman charged

A 20-year-old woman was arrested on Monday for stealing more than $800 in merchandise from Ulta Salon and Cosmetics, according to a case report released by the Greenville Police Department. 

The incident took place between 10:50 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. on Monday at the cosmetics store at 3120 Evans St., according to the report.

The woman tried to steal unspecified cosmetic items valued at $840 by disabling security devices, reports indicated. The 20-year-old was arrested and charged with larceny by an anti-inventory device and shoplifting.


The police department released reports Tuesday with the following details and allegations:

Break-ins, thefts

■ 1300 block Fantasia Street, 1:20-1:50 p.m. Dec. 3: two warranties for child car seats stolen from home; case inactive.

■ 1500 block Hooker Road, 7-7:14 p.m. Dec. 3: home entered by prying back door open; door frame sustained $100 in damages; no items listed as stolen; case inactive.

■ 2300 block Dickinson Avenue, 3:10-4:05 a.m. Dec. 3: TV valued at $45 stolen from Salvation Army; investigation ongoing.

■ 714 S.E. Greenville Blvd., 2:50-3:05 p.m. Nov. 29: two dark colored Tommy Hilfiger jackets valued at $400 stolen from Belk and recovered; arrest made.


■ 3900 block Sterling Pointe Drive, 7-7:39 p.m. Dec. 3: 28-year-old woman assaulted at home; extent of injuries not reported; case inactive.

■ 1600 block East First Street, 8:30 p.m. Dec. 3: 30-year-old woman assaulted at home by boyfriend; extent of injuries not reported; 37-year-old man arrested and charged with assault by strangulation and assault on a female.

Property Damage

■ 900 block Spring Forest Road, 9-10 p.m. Dec. 1: 2010 white Nissan Altima sustained an unreported amount of damages; case inactive.


The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office released reports Wednesday with the following details and allegations:


■ 500 block Briley Road, 4-4:30 a.m. Nov. 30: 52-year-old man assaulted by girlfriend at residence; minor injuries reported; case active.

■ 100 block Poker House Road, near Grimesland, 7:42-7:43 p.m. Dec. 3: 34-year-old woman assaulted by boyfriend at home; minor injuries reported; case active.
