Man robbed at gunpoint at hotel

A 34-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint after he was invited into a room at the Camelot Inn on Tuesday, according to a case report released by the Greenville Police Department. 

The incident took place about 12:10 p.m. at the hotel at 2828 S. Memorial Drive. The victim told officers he was walking outside when a couple invited him in to smoke.

Once inside, the man was robbed of his iPhone 8 valued at $600 and an unspecified amount of cash. Department spokeswoman Kristen Hunter said a struggle was reported between the victim and one of the suspects, but the victim was not shot or seriously injured.

An investigation is ongoing, Hunter said. Officers have developed some persons of interest.

■ 2400 block South Memorial Drive, 6 p.m. Dec. 3-8 a.m. Dec. 4: break-in to vehicle reported; no items listed as stolen; case inactive.

■ 3501 Galleria Drive, 10:30-10:50 p.m. Dec. 1: one bluetooth speaker valued at $79.99 and one pack of Under Armor socks valued at $19.99 stolen from Kohl’s and recovered; investigation ongoing.

■ 100 block Azalea Drive, 7:30 a.m. Dec. 3-1:50 p.m. Dec. 4: check stolen from home; case closed, arrest made by other agency.

■ 200 block Deck Street, 8 p.m. Dec. 3-6:30 p.m. Dec. 4: home entered without force through upper side window; bed comforter, three air fresheners, two rolls of toiler paper, a pair of Kyrie Irving shoes and a 49-inch smart TV, all valued at $1037.89, stolen; case inactive.


■ 1600 block Wimbledon Drive, 8:30-8:47 p.m. Dec. 4: 47-year-old woman assaulted at home by ex-boyfriend; extent of injuries not reported; case closed: victim refused to cooperate.

■ 3300 block Midland Court, 6 p.m. Dec. 3-1:56 p.m. Dec. 4: 38-year-old woman assaulted at home by boyfriend; extent of injuries not reported; investigation ongoing.

■ 2600 block Whitaker Drive, 7:10-7:20 a.m. Dec. 4: 32-year-old woman assaulted at home by boyfriend; investigation ongoing.

■ 1800 block Kennedy Circle, 6:28 p.m. Nov. 29: 30-year-old woman assaulted at home by ex-boyfriend; extent of injuries not reported; Virgin Mobile smartphone valued at $100 stolen; investigation ongoing.
