Woman hurt in robbery

A 52-year-old woman suffered serious injury Saturday when she was mugged outside her home, according to a case report released by the Greenville Police Department.

The incident took place between 8 and 9 a.m. on the roadway outside in the 1800 block of West Third Street, according to the report released on Wednesday. The incident was described as a strong-armed robbery involving one suspect.

Items listed as stolen from the woman include a debit card, a driver’s license, a social security card and a black fanny pack, all of unlisted value. The woman reported serious injuries, the report said. The report did not specify how the woman was injured.

An investigation is ongoing.

■ 1100 block South Pitt Street, noon Jan. 21-noon Feb. 1: 1981 yellow Bame three-axle trailer valued at $1,500 stolen; investigation ongoing.

■ 2600 block East 10th Street, 3 p.m. Oct. 10, 2018-1 p.m. Jan. 28: 1999 green Ford Expedition sustained an unreported amount of damages during break-in; two subwoofer speakers, one 1900 watt amplifier and one touch-screen 14-inch stereo CD player, all valued at $600, stolen; case inactive.


■ 1019 Fleming St., 1:30-2:30 p.m. Feb. 4: 17-year-old man assaulted at Sadie Saulter Elementary School by known person; extent of injuries not reported; investigation ongoing.
