Two arrested after break-in report

Officers arrested two men were arrested after a residential break-in was reported at an apartment on Concord Drive, according to a case report released Thursday by the Greenville Police Department.
An employee of Southern Properties told police the men had broken into a neighboring unit in the the 100 block of Concord Drive. Officers arrested them shortly after the report at 9:43 a.m. Wednesday, the report said.
The report also said that one of the offenders was armed with a semi-automatic handgun during the break-in. Officers also found drugs on him at the Pitt County Detention Center. The address listed for the men was the same as the apartment that was entered, according to the report.
Shimez Bryant, 17, of Greenville was charged with felony and misdemeanor breaking and entering and damaging personal property. Amauru Tyson, 20, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering, misdemeanor carrying a concealed gun and possession of a controlled substance on prison or jail premises.

Break-ins, thefts
■ 200 block Southwest Greenville Boulevard, 11:45 a.m.-12:02 p.m. Feb. 6: two 70-pint portable dehumidifiers valued at $200 stolen from vehicle; investigation ongoing.
■ 714 S.E. Greenville Blvd., 12:38 p.m. Feb. 6: two Ralph Lauren shirts, two pairs of Puma pants, one pair of Levi jeans, one Polo shirt and one black Puma shirt, all valued at $277, stolen from Belk and recovered; case closed/cleared by citation.
Assaults
■ 200 block Nash Street, 1:30-2 a.m. Feb. 7: 32-year-old woman assaulted at home by boyfriend; extent of injuries not reported; case inactive.
■ 200 block Mary Beth Drive, 8-8:15 p.m. Feb. 5: 72-year-old woman assaulted at home by husband; extent of injuries not reported; investigation ongoing.
Property Damage
■ 200 block Southeast Greenville Boulevard, 5:30-7:50 p.m. Feb. 6: 2015 red Dodge Charger sustained $15,000 in damages; investigation ongoing.
■ 1900 block Rosemont Drive, 1 p.m. Feb. 4-3:42 p.m. Feb. 6: 2010 silver Nissan Altima sustained $200 in damages; investigation ongoing.
■ 100 block Shiloh Drive, 12:01 a.m. Jan. 31-2:10 p.m. Feb. 6: glass sliding door sustained $300 in damages; investigation ongoing.

■ 1700 block Garner Road, 9 a.m. Feb. 4-3 p.m. Feb. 5: one roll of quarters valued at $10 and one bottle of prescription drugs valued at $300 stolen from vehicle; case active.
Assaults
■ 1200 block Saguaro Road, 2:40-2:45 p.m. Feb. 5: 47-year-old man assaulted at home by known person; minor injuries reported; case active.
■ 1400 block Polk Avenue, noon-12:01 p.m. Aug. 28, 2018: 25-year-old woman assaulted by boyfriend; minor injuries reported; case active.
