Walmart employee arrested on charges of stealing merchandise

An employee at Walmart was arrested after allegedly stealing merchandise from the store on Monday, according to a case report released by the Greenville Police Department.

The incident took place about 2:45 p.m. June 3 at the Walmart located at 4600 E. 10th St.

Four food items, five household goods and two personal hygiene items, all valued at $61.96, were listed as stolen from the Walmart and recovered.

Malikhi Lathaniel Cooper, 19, of Greenville was arrested and charged with larceny by employee.

Break-ins, thefts

■ 2830 Gateway Drive, 1:30-2:10 p.m. June 2: pack of steaks valued at $29.07 stolen from Walmart and recovered; case closed/leads exhausted.

■ 714 S.E. Greenville Blvd., 5:25-5:32 p.m. June 2: five Nautica hats, all valued at $125, stolen from Belk and recovered; case closed/cleared.

■ 1201 Portertown Road, 1:23 a.m. June 3: three soft drinks and two bags of chips, all valued at $9.45, stolen from Sheetz; 29-year-old woman arrested and charged with misdemeanor larceny.

■ 714 S.E. Greenville Blvd., 11:02 a.m. June 3: two Under Armor shirts and four other unspecified articles of clothing, all valued at $222.50, stolen from Belk and recovered; case closed/cleared.

■ 1400 block Hooker Road, 10:20 p.m. June 2-10:30 a.m. June 3: $400 in cash stolen from vehicle; case inactive.

■ 714 S.E. Greenville Blvd., 12:29 p.m. May 10-12:30 p.m. June 3: eleven articles of clothing, all valued at $457, stolen from JC Penny by employee; case closed/cleared.

■ 4000 S. Memorial Drive, 3-3:03 p.m. June 3: unspecified merchandise valued at $130 stolen from Circle K; investigation ongoing.

■ 100 block Bragg Circle, 3:08 p.m. June 3: Spider-Man-themed scooter valued at $25 stolen from home; investigation ongoing.

■ 502 S.W. Greenville Blvd., 4:03-4:06 p.m. June 3: four $10,000,000 Colossal Cash lottery tickets, all valued at $120, stolen from Speedway; investigation ongoing.

■ 205 S.W. Greenville Blvd., 5-5:05 p.m. June 3:  iPhone 8 Plus valued at $750 stolen from Cricket Wireless; investigation ongoing.

■ 400 block Pittman Drive, noon May 31-1 p.m. June 4: Kool-Aid valued at $22.79 stolen from home; case inactive.

■ 600 block East Arlington Boulevard, 2:35 p.m. June 4: knife or cutting instrument used during break-in to vehicle; two iPhone X’s, each valued at $900, stolen from vehicle and recovered; 29-year-old man arrested and charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny.

■ 100 block Kristin Drive, 2:30 a.m. June 2: 19-year-old woman assaulted at gunpoint by boyfriend; minor injuries reported; case inactive.

■ 100 block David Drive, 11:55 a.m. June 2: 25-year-old woman assaulted at home by known person; no injuries reported; investigation ongoing.

■ 2100 block North Village Drive, 4-4:28 p.m. June 2: 34-year-old woman assaulted at home by boyfriend; minor injuries reported; 28-year-old man arrested and charged with assault on a female.

■ 300 block Lindsay Drive, 6:08 p.m. June 2: 37-year-old man assaulted at gunpoint by known person; no injuries reported; 25-year-old man arrested and charged with assault by pointing a gun and going armed to the terror of the people.

■ 100 block Concord Drive, 11:20 p.m. June 2: 54-year-old man assaulted at home by girlfriend; no injuries reported; case inactive.

■ 3700 block Stillwood Drive, 4:50 p.m. June 3: 71-year-old man assaulted on road; minor injuries reported; investigation ongoing.

■ 3900 block West Vancroft Circle, 12:06 a.m. June 4: 35-year-old man assaulted at home by acquaintance; minor injuries reported; investigation ongoing.

■ 2700 block West Arlington Boulevard, 4:03 p.m. June 4: 25-year-old man assaulted at home with a knife; minor injuries reported; investigation ongoing.

■ 700 block Patton Circle, 9-9:31 p.m. June 4: 31-year-old woman assaulted at home by known person; no injuries reported; investigation ongoing.

Property Damage

■ 400 block Brighton Park Drive, 3:10-3:16 p.m. June 2: landscaping sustained $400 in damages; investigation ongoing.

■ 3300 block Moseley Drive, 11:36 p.m. June 2: silver Toyota Corolla sustained $80 in damages from girlfriend of victim; case inactive.

■ 100 block Golf View Drive, 8 p.m. June 2-12:13 p.m. June 3: unspecified property sustained $265 in damages at home; case inactive.

■ 1500 block Birch Place, near Winterville, 12:03 p.m. June 3: unspecified vehicle sustained $500 in damages; case inactive.

■ 400 block West Fifth Street, 12:30 p.m. June 3-1:05 p.m. June 4: window on side of home sustained $300 in damages after being broken; investigation ongoing.
