Armed robbery reported at laundry

The Greenville Police Department is investigating a reported armed robbery at a 10th Street laundry, according to a report issued Tuesday.

The report indicates $2,200 in cash was stolen from The Wash House, 2511 E. 10th St., during the incident, which took place about 12:12 p.m. Monday, according to the case report.

The report indicates a handgun was used in the incident and says that a 37-year-old man also was a victim. It also indicates that an 18-year-old woman was a witness.

The case remains under investigation, according to the report. Further information was not available.

2000 block Bluff View Drive, 9 p.m. Aug. 19: Car keys valued at $600 stolen from home; case inactive.

4000 block East Tenth Street, 11:40 p.m. Aug. 19: Motor vehicle parts valued at $114 stolen from vehicle in Walmart parking lot; investigation ongoing.


800 block Jade Lane, 6:45 p.m. Aug. 19: 48-year-old woman assaulted by friend at home; minor injuries reported; case inactive.

900 block Cross Winds Street, 9:00 p.m. Aug. 19: 49-year-old homeless woman assaulted by spouse at Econo Lodge, 920 Cross Winds St.; investigation ongoing.

1000 block Dickinson Avenue, 9:07 p.m. Aug. 19: 25-year-old woman assaulted by boyfriend at home; no injuries reported; case inactive.
