East Carolina and Tulane come into tonight’s women’s basketball game with the exact same season records of 10-9 overall and 2-4 in the American Athletic Conference as part of a three-way tie for seventh place in the 12-team league.

The game tips off at 8 p.m. (EST) in New Orleans, where ECU has beaten Tulane in three of the last four meetings with the Green Wave. It is Tulane that is on a three-game win streak in the series, however, including a 61-45 victory in Greenville last season.

The Pirates, who beat Houston in overtime Saturday, are looking for consecutive wins for the first time since late-December. They topped the Cougars, 80-78, on freshman Necole Hope’s game-winning layup on a perfect bounce pass from junior guard Alex Frazier. Hope scored 18 points after totaling nine in the previous five games combined.

Tulane was on a three-game losing streak prior to routing Tulsa, 70-39, on Sunday. The Wave, which is 6-3 at home, has the second-highest scorer in the league in senior guard Kolby Morgan and her 21.4 points per game average.
