Joe Dooley’s second stint as East Carolina’s basketball coach will begin Nov. 6 with a home against Delaware State, which is part of the Pirates playing seven games in Minges Coliseum in November and 18 total for the 2018-19 season.

ECU released its schedule Wednesday afternoon and it features eight games against opponents that competed in postseason play a year ago. Four teams are first-time opponents.

The opening three-game homestand is Delaware State (Nov. 6), James Madison (Nov. 9) and Lamar (Nov. 11), followed by a trip to Atlanta to face Georgia Tech (Nov. 16) for the first time since 1994. Then the Pirates, who hired Dooley from Florida Gulf Coast during the offseason, return home for their second three-game homestand with games against first-time opponents Rio Grande Valley (Nov. 19) and Prairie View A&M (Nov. 21) before renewing their series with High Point (Nov. 24) for the first time since 1968.

ECU closes out the month of November with a road trip to UNCW on Nov. 27 and a home date against Appalachian State (Nov. 30). A light December slate features a road trip to Charlotte and hosting North Carolina A&T.

The Pirates will begin their fifth season in the American Athletic Conference by playing four of their first six conference games on the road, starting in Dallas against SMU. A home contest against reigning league champion Cincinnati in set for Jan. 5 in Minges.

Marquee home matchups in the AAC for the Pirates also include against Wichita State on Feb. 6 and closing the regular season by hosting Connecticut.

Season tickets are currently on-sale through the ECU online ticket center or by calling the ECU athletics ticket office at 1-800-342-5328.
