East Carolina’s women’s basketball team will try to put its record back above .500 when it hosts Memphis today at 1 p.m. in Minges Coliseum.
The game will serve as ECU women’s basketball alumni day and girls and women in sports day.
The Pirates (11-11, 2-7 American), who just lost 118-55 to powerful Connecticut on Wednesday night, have not had a losing record all season. They won their first five games and started 9-2.
Memphis (9-13, 4-5) also has had its struggles, going on a three-game win streak last month before a 1-3 record in its last four outings. The Tigers, who went 3-for-21 on 3-pointers in a Wednesday loss to Wichita State, beat ECU 58-46 in Memphis on Jan. 19.
