Mother Nature has affected East Carolina baseball’s schedule for another weekend.

ECU announced late Friday morning that it will not play Monmouth on Friday, but instead will begin a doubleheader Saturday at 4 p.m. at Clark-LeClair Stadium. 

The No. 11 Pirates (3-1) played Wednesday night at Campbell in cold and wet conditions, falling 7-6 to the Camels in the ninth inning. ECU’s opening weekend schedule also was altered because of inclement weather, as the Pirates hosted a doubleheader on opening day before skipping Saturday and then sweeping Radford on Sunday.

ECU vs. Monmouth revised schedule

Game 1: Saturday at 4 p.m.

Game 2: Saturday (approximately 45 minutes following Game 1)

Game 3: Sunday at 1 p.m.

After its series versus Monmouth, ECU also will host Air Force on Monday and Elon on Wednesday.
