The Daily Reflector’s 2017 All-County baseball team:

FIRST TEAM

Brenden Mullis, Ayden-Grifton: The Chargers’ senior hit .365, going 23-for-63 at the plate. Mullis had 11 RBIs and scored 24 runs on the year, along with a team-high 25 stolen bases.

Cam Andrews, D.H. Conley: Andrews, a senior centerfielder, hit .361 for Conley, driving in 10 runs and stealing 13 bases. He hit five doubles and  converted all 35 fielding chances he saw.

Noah Jones, D.H. Conley: The East Carolina signee racked up 78 strikeouts in 59 innings of work as a senior, going 5-3 with a 3.08 ERA. Jones also hit .403 and drove in 18 runs.

Tyshawn Barrett, J.H. Rose: Hitter of the year.

Hunter Christopher, J.H. Rose: Pitcher of the year.

Greg Hardison, J.H. Rose: The Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A player of the year hit a team-high .494 (42-for-85) for the Rampants and scored 34 runs. He hit 16 doubles and had 18 RBIs, while posting a .904 fielding percentage at shortstop.

Trey Jernigan, North Pitt: NP’s top pitcher struck out 92 batters, the most among county nominees, while walking just nine. Jernigan hit .373 and scored 25 runs for the Panthers.

Syncere Pittman, South Central: Pittman posted a .507 average, the highest of any nominee in the county. He was an all-ECC 3-A/4-A selection after notching 15 RBIs and a .643 on-base percentage.

Christian Stokes, South Central: Stokes compiled a 9-1 record for the Falcons, striking out 51 batters and earning an all-conference selection in his senior season.
