D.H. Conley’s girls’ basketball team improved to 2-0 in Eastern Carolina 3-A/​4-A Conference action when it won 56-32 at C.B. Aycock on Friday night.

South Central also is off to an unbeaten start in ECC play.

The inside duo of  Lauren Wiles and Tori Simmons led way for Conley (8-1 overall) versus Aycock, posting a combined stat line of nine blocks and 18 points. Jenna Wooten scored 18 and had four assists.

C.B. Aycock won the boys’ game, 55-48. Jahmois Barnhill led the Vikings with 17 points, and Tremaine Pugh had 14.
