Christ Covenant School capped off a highly successful boys’ golf season by winning the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association 1-A state championship earlier this week at Whispering Pines Golf Club.

After finishing second in its conference, Christ Covenant was led by all-state selection Will Guidry and conference most valuable player Kyle Griffin to thrive at the state tourney and win by 10 strokes. Seventh-grader Hank Adams scored a hole-in-one on the par-3, 152-yard 12th hole.

Griffin, Guidry and Edward Stephenson were named all-conference. Davis Miller, Hank Adams and Caleb Hollenbaugh rounded out the CCS state title roster, and coaches were Allen Guidry and Bob Galbraith.
