After fighting weather postponements last week, Post 39 and Farmville Post 151 finally had a chance to face off, with Post 39 walking away victorious, 11-1, in six innings.

Robbie O'Neal had a stellar performance for Post 39, picking up the win by tossing five strong innings. He earned 13 strikeouts while giving up just one hit. Caleb Morris (3-for-4, 2B 3 Rs, 2 BB's, RBI) led the way at the plate, while Grant Charles Jarman, Ryker Galaska and Hunter Christopher each added two runs a piece.

"We're happy with where we're at," Post 39 head coach Ryan Meadows said. "We finally won against mother nature. We were fortunate to have a secondary spot to play tonight. We're coming together as a team. It feels a little less like individuals and more like a team."

Post 151 head coach Josh Boberg put the loss on his shoulders, and addressed an injury to starting pitcher Bradley Allen, who was removed in the third inning.

"He (Allen) pitched his heart out," Boberg said. "We're going to evaluate him and I pray he's back to full strength soon. The loss tonight was based on poor coaching by the head ball coach for Post 151. Ballplayers should not have to bounce around like they're playing 10 or 11 year old baseball."

Brandon Ward (1-for-2, R, BB) scored the lone run for Post 151. which managed just three hits on the night.

Post 39 will return to action tonight as they hit the road to face North Raleigh. Post 151 will play again on Friday, as they host Morehead City.
