The following players were selected to The Daily Reflector’s All-Area baseball team. 

FIRST TEAM

Matthew Matthijs, D.H. Conley: Pitcher of the Year

Grant Charles Jarman, J.H. Rose: Batter of the Year

Cam Jackson, D.H. Conley: Jackson was a solid performer at the top of the Vikings lineup, finishing with a .485 batting average. He also had 47 hits and 37 RBIs.

Brandon Benfield, Ayden-Grifton: The talented junior catcher had a great year at the plate, batting .400 on the year with 28 RBIs and two homeruns.

Blake McLawhorn, Ayden-Grifton: McLawhorn’s .449 batting average led the Chargers in his senior season. The Louisburg College commit rounded out his high school year with his all-around best statistical season.

Robbie O’Neal, D.H. Conley: O’Neal was focused on just playing ball after commiting to UNC-Greensboro before his senior season. Along with a .333 batting average he went 5-0 on the mound, ending with 57 strikeouts.

Jalin Connor, Greene Central: As a senior Connor earned a .377 batting average, scoring 30 runs. His 38 stolen bases led the Rams this year. 

Jake Lysaght, D.H. Conley: The Towson commit played a critical role at shortstop for the Vikings. On offense he batted .311, nailing 28 hits, 22 RBIs, and scoring 44 runs.

Shane Rademacher, J.H. Rose: Rademacher was dominant when he took to the mound this season. He finished with a pristine 6-0 record and a 1.52 ERA. He also had 55 strikeouts and three complete games.
