Meyerhoeffer a great choice

This has been a very interesting election season so far with a strong list of candidates running for office. The results of this election couldn't be more important for the future of our city.

I have gotten to know Brian Meyerhoeffer over the past several years and am excited that he chose to run for City Council.  Brian's experience working in multiple cities in both the private and public sectors provide him with a strong resume for what he can bring to Greenville.

He could have stayed in any of those cities but he and his wife decided that they wanted to come back to Greenville to work, live and now to serve our city as one of its leaders. I am hoping that others will support Brian in his bid for the At-Large seat as I believe his experience and character are exactly what our city needs.

Spike Lee said “do the right thing,” but often kids don’t. They get in trouble. It happens when their self-actualization interests intersect with the rules in families and schools and laws in society.

The key is when a child makes a bad choice, there’s a responsible adult to…

It seems that both the vice president and the attorney general have misread the Bible when they use it to support President Trump's policy of taking children away from parents of immigrant parents as they reach the U.S. border.

Mathew 19:14 (KJV) reads, "And Jesus said, Suffer little children, and…

“What would [a coherent national policy that take’s the country’s war’s seriously] look like? It would probably look like rescinding the open-ended Authorization for the Use of Military Force and making the president regularly go before Congress to explain where and why he…

Outrageous!

There is no other way to describe the behavior of the Republicans who totally control the N.C. Legislature and whose leadership assembled a small group of Republicans to craft the 2018-19 state budget in secret and to package said budget in such a manner that circumnavigated entirely…

"Over my lifetime I've done a lot of deals with a lot of people and sometimes the people you most distrust turn out to be the most honorable ones and the people that you do trust turn out to be not the honorable ones.” These noteworthy words were spoken by President Trump during an interview…
