BYH: To the Confederates of the civil war. Today if they were in power there would be no race problems, or issues today....

Are you tired of winning yet?

President Donald J. Trump is sailing into position to be one of the best presidents for the American people in the history of the United States.

Thank you, Jesus, for giving President Trump the strength to withstand the onslaught of over 90 percent negative coverage by the mainstream media. President Trump's willingness to be regarded as having the most praying administration in history certainly shows the fruits of putting God and our Christian foundation first.

President Trump campaigned on America's greatness and about putting America first again in the world. This is something that the globalist, establishment elites, Democrats, and RINO Republicans continue to fight intensely against.

After 20 months of transition from a president who hated America and its greatness to a leader who left his cushy job to battle 24 hours a day for the future of America, we are enjoying the effects of a growing economy. Despite the Democratic-controlled media telling us that everything would crash on election night if Trump were elected, we have seen the exact opposite.

Accomplishments are too many to list here but a few include nomination of conservative Supreme Court justices, strengthening and rebuilding our military, cutting taxes and anti-growth regulations across the board, and stopping the funding of hundreds of millions of dollars to Palestinian terrorist. Hopefully Trump will stop all funding to all terrorist nations — these people can just hate us for free!

America, there is a spiritual battle going on for this nation. We must come together and pray for President Trump and our government just as intensely as we did in 2016. The Democrats are anti-Christian, anti-American, who will not play by the rules and are willing to do and say anything to take down Trump and America.

All Christians need to pray daily for our America!

Bill Redding can like or dislike anyone he wants as a future presidential candidate. Fortunately, at this point in time, we still have the right in this country to support the candidate of our choice.

As an unashamed Christian I take offense in his letter to the editor that singles out Vice…

While I appreciate the views expressed recently by Bill Redding, and his excitement about the 2020 Democratic field, him calling the Trump base "Brainless"  reminds me of the losers calling the winners lucky.

We are not deplorables, we are not brainless, and we won, you lost. Seems to me that…

Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

We are seeing the results of a megalomaniac who was born with a gold spoon in his mouth, who never had to answer to anyone, not to mention a co-equal branch of government. His lies of Mexico paying for a wall he promised are being exposed, so he…

Our Constitution set up a governmental system with three branches, coequal, with different functions.

Laws and budgets are mandated to be created by the legislative branch, through the votes of the members of the House and Senate (with budgetary bills originating in the House) with compromises…

For many years the clinical staff at ECU Physicians has been under tremendous pressure to at least break even and ultimately make the operation profitable, all the while at the disadvantage of treating a significant portion of underinsured and indigent patients that are not cared for by private…

Thank you for your incredible story on the grand opening of our new LGBTQ Center at ECU (Jan. 13). Your reporter was spot on that this will be a “Safe Harbor” for the most marginalized of our students.

I grew up in Everetts and my family were long time subscribers to The Daily Reflector.…

Bless your heart Pope Francis. Tear down that Vatican wall. Bless your heart President Obama. Tear down those walls around your Washington, D.C., estate. Bless your heart Speaker Pelosi. Tear down that wall around your Napa estate.

If walls are immoral, lead by example. These walls were built to…

After reading Bill Redding’s letter to the editor and viewing Sunday’s Meet The Press, I was prompted to add my thoughts on greenhouse gases and global warming. We are on the brink of a world disaster of a magnitude never seen before, except perhaps during the Ice Age.

When normal high…

Today (Tuesday) I was stunned to hear that Carol Folt will be resigning from her office as Chancellor of UNC Chapel Hill; but I was not as stunned as when I read the remarks made by Harry Smith, Chair of the UNC Board of Governors (BOG). In the wake of her announcement Smith stated that he was…

It's much too early to pick or accurately predict who might be the Democratic presidential nominee for 2020. But premature as it may be, and as totally uncertain with a wide and varied cadre of candidates, isn't it refreshing to see real, honest, down to earth human beings running for the office?…
