President Donald J. Trump is sailing into position to be one of the best presidents for the American people in the history of the United States.

Thank you, Jesus, for giving President Trump the strength to withstand the onslaught of over 90 percent negative coverage by the mainstream media. President Trump's willingness to be regarded as having the most praying administration in history certainly shows the fruits of putting God and our Christian foundation first.

President Trump campaigned on America's greatness and about putting America first again in the world. This is something that the globalist, establishment elites, Democrats, and RINO Republicans continue to fight intensely against.

After 20 months of transition from a president who hated America and its greatness to a leader who left his cushy job to battle 24 hours a day for the future of America, we are enjoying the effects of a growing economy. Despite the Democratic-controlled media telling us that everything would crash on election night if Trump were elected, we have seen the exact opposite.

Accomplishments are too many to list here but a few include nomination of conservative Supreme Court justices, strengthening and rebuilding our military, cutting taxes and anti-growth regulations across the board, and stopping the funding of hundreds of millions of dollars to Palestinian terrorist. Hopefully Trump will stop all funding to all terrorist nations — these people can just hate us for free!

America, there is a spiritual battle going on for this nation. We must come together and pray for President Trump and our government just as intensely as we did in 2016. The Democrats are anti-Christian, anti-American, who will not play by the rules and are willing to do and say anything to take down Trump and America.

All Christians need to pray daily for our America!

This past weekend my wife and I headed to Westwood to watch the UCLA Bruins host our Pirates in a three-game baseball series. What we witnessed was collegiate baseball played at the highest level!

From the slick fielding to the great at-bats to the phenomenal pitching, the games had the feel of a…

Big "Teddy Bear" Bernie Sanders has been shouting, "Free medicine for everyone!" because 71 percent of the people in America, according to the polls, favor free health care.

The fact is though that Medicare co-pays, deductibles, and principle payments (part B) fill up the Medicare program…

As a disabled veteran of the Vietnam War, I am deeply concerned that there are people in high places who are in the process of choreographing yet another useless war for the fine young men and women of our military to go get maimed and die in for no legitimate purpose.

In particular, and mark my…

Medicaid expansion could provide affordable health care to about 9,800 Pitt County residents struggling to get by on very low incomes. Without affordable health insurance, people must make too many hard choices as they triage their bills and obligations. Which is least crucial, groceries,…

I am writing this letter in response to the March 23 letter about white supremacist attitudes that have been prevalent throughout United States history. Likewise, racism and intolerance of all marginalized minorities is not just a part of American history; it is also a part of Evangelical church…

As we approach the central holy days of the Christian calendar, I ask my brothers and sisters in Christ to advocate for peace. The U.S. House of Representatives has just passed a resolution to end our participation in the Saudi-led war in Yemen. This is the first time since the Vietnam war that…

I was stunned to turn on the TV just in time to see Trump say he signed a presidential proclamation saying it is now U.S. policy to acknowledge the Golan Heights as Israeli territory — Syrian land which Israel has occupied since the Six-Day War in 1967.

The land in question is 30 miles from…

The idea of foreign aid being an investment for the U.S. can be a challenging concept to understand. Why would aid be an investment? Globally, over 3 billion people are living in poverty; 95 percent of U.S. consumers live outside the U.S.

These facts become even more significant when U.S. foreign…
